“I Put In More Work On The Ground Than On Social Media” – John Dumelo Fires Back At Incumbent, Lydia Alhassan

The race for the position of member of parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency will definitely be a very keenly contested one with a lot of interest from the neutrals.

In an interview, the incumbent, Lydia Alhassan jabbed her competitor, John Dumelo’s methods of campaigning via social media and said that she does her campaign “on the ground”. She averred that social media is John Dumelo’s strong hold.

She was also confident that Dumelo’s massive following on social media will at the long run, prove to be irrelevant since according to her, most of his followers will not vote at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

John Dumelo has clapped back, citing that he doesn’t post all issues pertaining to his campaign on social media.

John Dumelo explained that social media is a good platform to inform people about work on the ground hence his use of it.

To conclude, he also threw shades at the NPP as he resurrected memories of the violence that took place during a by-election at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency: citing that it’s better to use social media to inform people of your work on the ground than using masked men to beat constituents in order to win a by-election.
