In 2017, the National Media Commission sanctioned 3 TV stations — Ice TV, Thunder TV and TV XYZ for constantly showing porn on their channels. According to the NMC, it’s against the broadcasting guidelines to air any form of sexual intercourse between humans.

A statement by Chairman of the NMC Kwasi Gyan-Apenteng stated that “Section 7 (e) of the NMC Broadcasting Guidelines provides that ‘Actual sexual intercourse between humans should at no time be transmitted.’ The Commission said this provision does not admit of any exceptions.”
