A spokesperson for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on creative arts, Rex Omar, says the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, must be impeached.
The veteran highlife musician made the statement on the back of the numerous allegations of corruption that have embroiled the Akufo-Addo-led government in recent times.
In a series of statements on Facebook, the vocal musician did not mince words while calling for the impeachment of the president.
He wrote

He added that he was really ashamed as a Ghanaian for the disgrace that the President had brought to his seat because of corruption.
I am really sad and ashamed as a Ghanaian for the disgrace and global ridicule Akufo-Addo has brought to the presidency and the seat of government

Rex in another post called President Akufo-Addo a mediocre in taking bribes; he added a sarcastic comment that was earlier made by Sammy Gyamfi that the president received the bribe with both hands like a goalkeeper.
He wrote;

The general elections are scheduled to be held in Ghana on 7 December 2020.
