Ghanaian genre-blending artist and multi-instrumentalist Josh Blakk set the stage ablaze at Europe’s largest club festival, the Reeperbahn Festival, with a mesmerizing 40-minute set on September 19 as part of the AFROSON1C X Showcase at Schmidtchen.
As part of the line-up for his “Catch-22” experience tour in Europe, Josh Blakk stepped up to the stage donning a striking Kente outfit that paid homage to his Ghanaian roots, Josh Blakk’s performance fused soulful highlife rhythms with Afrobeats grooves, leaving an international crowd of music enthusiasts and industry professionals buzzing with excitement.

Representing Ghana on the AFROSON1C X platform, which spotlights emerging African talents, Josh Blakk’s set was hailed as a standout moment. Josh shared the stage with Anabel Rose, C-Leta and The Cavemen. He performed songs from his debut album O.N.E and its deluxe as well as songs from his latest album “Catch-22”, which includes the ever-popular lead single “Pot of Gold”.
The Reeperbahn Festival, held from September 17-20 and drawing over 43,000 visitors from 40+ countries, solidified its reputation as a launchpad for boundary-pushing artists, and Josh Blakk’s appearance underscored Africa’s rising influence on the global stage.
