Alyssa Popelka is an American professional softball player who currently plays for the Chicago Bandits of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). She is a two-time All-American and was named the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2018.
Popelka was born on August 8, 1996 in San Diego, California. She attended Rancho Bernardo High School, where she was a four-year letter winner in softball. She was named the San Diego Union-Tribune Player of the Year in 2014 and was a two-time All-CIF selection.
Popelka then attended the University of Oklahoma, where she was a four-year starter for the Sooners. She was named the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2018 and was a two-time All-American. She was also named to the All-Big 12 First Team three times and was a two-time Big 12 All-Tournament Team selection.
Popelka was drafted by the Chicago Bandits in the fourth round of the 2019 NPF Draft. She made her professional debut in 2019 and was named to the All-NPF Team in 2020.
