The 2018 African Athletics Championships: Journalists Display Pure Passion In Asaba
Journalism is a profession noted for paying very little but offering so much in terms of the dissemination of information. It is one of those professions which requires so much sacrifice and journalists in Asaba have had to be in a “sacrificial mood” to keep sports enthusiasts updated with happenings at the event.
The price of Journalism
The Africa Athletics Championships has rather hit the headlines for the wrong reasons: poor organization and a lack of communication from the organizers. In fact that has even led to Tanzania’s withdrawal from the competition.
Sit and type
The event which started on Wednesday, the 1st of August, 2018 saw a lot of the participating countries stranded before the event as there was lack of transportation as well as accommodation for the various participating countries.
Journalists have also had their fair share of the problems and in effect, have been left with no choice but to report whiles sitting or lying on the bare floor.
