Jacob Weitering is an Australian professional footballer who plays for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the club with the first overall pick in the 2015 AFL draft.
Born on October 5, 1997, in Drouin, Victoria, Australia, Weitering is the son of parents, Peter and Tracey Weitering. He has two siblings, a brother named Ben and a sister named Sarah.
Weitering began his football career playing for the Drouin Dragons in the Gippsland Football League. He was then drafted by the Carlton Football Club in the 2015 AFL draft. He made his debut in the 2016 season and has since become one of the club’s most important players.
