Chelsea has signed SSC Napoli midfielder Jorginho for £50mil, according to BBC.
The Italian international midfielder has signed a 5-year contract and he joins former coach, Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
It was a confirmation of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentis assertion that the 26-year-old midfielder preferred a move to London instead of Manchester.
It was an open secret that Josep Guardiola’s Manchester City were admirers of Jorginho and chased his signature. However, the player’s fondness of his boss Maurizio Sarri and London proved to be the deciding factor as he instead chose to sign for Chelsea.
