After appearing in a cameo role for “Zoolander 2,” Justin Bieber will finally star in a movie. A source confirmed that he was invited for a role in “Pitch Perfect 3.”
Hollywood Life claimed that the 21-year-old pop star is gearing up for a role in the upcoming third installment.
A source close to Bieber confirmed that the Grammy awardee already discussed with Rebel Wilson his potential to be part of the cast. Earlier this year, Wilson and Bieber were able to talk during Jennifer Lopez’s concert. It seems like “Fat Amy” is definitely setting his eyes on the superstar, after he teased him to go on a date during Valentine’s and after she and Kelly Osbourne picked him up during the concert.
The source said the “How To Be Single” actress was insisting that Bieber should do “Pitch Perfect 3,” since she and the Canadian star are mutual friends with Adam DeVine.
But did Justin Bieber agrees with her idea? “Justin was definitely for it,” the source added. Why not? He got not just the voice but also the looks and the moves! If ever Justin Bieber really accepts the role then that is not a problem at all. Besides, he will get to work with DeVine whose show “Workaholics” is his personal favorite. Again, he has the guts to be in “Pitch Perfect 3.”
So far, no plot has been released yet for the movie but Wilson confirmed during her guesting at the Ellen DeGeneres show that they will start filming in 2016. Anna Kendrick and Hailee Steinfeld will also come back for the third installment by Elizabeth Banks.
“Pitch Perfect 3” is slated for release on Aug. 4, 2017. Universal Pictures announced earlier that it will be July 21, but it was moved because of some production glitches of “Pacific Rim 2.”
