In Oyiboland: Inhumane- Woman Pours Hot Water On Housemaid For Sleeping On Couch
Christiana Eze, a 31-year-old woman has been arrested by the International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA for pouring hot water on Beauty, her 13-year-old house maid for just sleeping on her couch.
The incident happened on the 3rd of July, 2018 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. It was gathered that Beauty usually sleeps on the floor but on that fateful day, as a result of cold she slept on the couch, an action which infuriated Christiana. Out of ‘madness’ Christiana poured hot water on helpless maid, Beauty.
The following morning, she let the Beauty go to school in that condition and her teacher who noticed the change in her body, filed a report against Christiana.
Beauty, from Edo State accused Christiana of pouring hot water on her as well as flogging her with a belt till her skin peeled off.
It was gathered that Beauty has known nothing but torment and torture for the past two years of her stay with Christiana, a situation their neighbors attested to.
The security man also revealed that he sometimes feeds Beauty since she is fed once a day by Christiana.
Further investigation revealed that Beauty’s luggage is kept under the staircase and it is from there that she dresses up.
Such actions are horrible, pathetic and totally dehumanizing. We are one creation, you know.
