Philip Rucker is an American journalist and political analyst who is currently the White House Bureau Chief for The Washington Post. He is also a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. Rucker has won numerous awards for his reporting, including the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 2018.

Rucker was born in Washington, D.C. in 1982. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
