Photos From Junior Manuel Agogo’s Cremation Ceremony

Former Black Stars striker Manuel Junior Agogo has finally been cremated.

Agogo was cremated in a private cremation ceremony at St. Mark’s Church, 114 Hamilton Terrace, London NW8.

A host of high profile personalities such as Anthony Baffoe and Samuel Osei Kuffour were present to pay their last respectct to the former Stars’ striker.

Deputy Sports Minister Perry Okudzeto led a delegation which included executives of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, CAF Deputy General Secretary Tony Baffoe , as well as Sammy Kuffuor and Naa Odofoley both of the GFA Normalization Committee.

Agogo passed away in a hospital in London on Thursday, August 22, 2019.

Before his untimely demise, Agogo had been battling stroke for five years.

Agogo was the ‘poster boy’ of Ghana’s 2008 Africa Cup of Nations campaign all because of physique, good looks and the manner with which he played; with a smile always on his face.

The forward began his career with the Owls, playing three games for the then Premier League side between 1997 and 2000.
