Politricks: Only Witches Are Complaining Under NPP’s Government – Minister Of Communications

Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has described persons complaining about the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as witches.

She asserted that it is only persons with witchcraft who will lament that they have not seen anything worthwhile being done since the Akufo-Addo government took over the helm of affairs on January 7, 2017.

She also described individuals and groups engaging in what she describes as a “propaganda anthem” for stating that the NPP has done nothing for Ghanaians since it came to government in 2017 as witches.

She infamously said, “If someone complains that since the NPP came he/she has not benefitted anything ask the person if he or she did not hear it raining when he got out and saw it is wet didn’t he see? Is this not witchcraft? When someone is complaining shut the person down”, she stated.

The minister listed some “gargantuan” and “remarkable feats” which has been achieved by the NPP.

She further tasked the youth of the party to propagate the party’s achievements in order to avoid further propaganda from the major opposition party, the NDC.

“It is your duty to tell them because I know that in your house, there is someone who is not paying school fees because Nana Akufo-Addo has taken up that responsibility. Let her know you were a hairdresser and ‘dumsor’ was affecting you and what is it you are saying today? Akufo-Addo has come to solve ‘dumsor and you are getting a lot of work to do. You too, your ward was attending nursing training and you suffered to cater for his or her upkeep today he/she is benefitting from nursing training allowance”, she told the party youth.

The achievements are listed below; the digital address system, stabilization of the cedi, national ID card system, restoration of nursing trainee allowances, free Senior High School (SHS) programme and stabilizing our power to boost industrialization among others.

She said this at an NPP youth summit organized by the Ablekuma West.

She advised them to rise against all forms of propaganda by the NDC and also propagate the good works of the NPP which includes the Nation Builders Corps (NaBCo) programme that is serving as a stop-gap for unemployed university graduates.
