Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has lost his grandfather.
He was ethnomusicologist and composer, Emeritus Professor Joseph Hanson Kwabena Nketia who passed on earlier today.
The renowned writer died at the Legon Hospital in Accra, Wednesday morning after short illnes. He was 97.
Taking to twitter, the rapper wrote
Overwhelming legacy. A life well lived. Grandpa, thank you. Your humanity was your greatest composition
The renowned professor made a cameo appearance in Manifest’s “Mene woa” video which featured King Promise.
May his soul rest in peace.
