Ghanaian rapper and currently the “Best Rapper of the year” winner at VGMA 2019 has bragged that he was the one who saved rap music in Ghana from dying.
According to the self-acclaimed rap savior, he gave life to the genre 4 years ago and he promise to keep it alive as well.
No one can deny Medikal’s influence on rap music over the years — but for him to make that bold claim that the genre was dying — I mean when the likes of Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Manifest, EL and the rest have been doing it for over a decade now — that seems a bit too far-fetched.
Anyways, he made this controversial post on his instagram page after winning the “Best Rapper of the year” once in his career. Even Sarkodie who has won the title more than 4 times at the VGMA’s won’t make such a bold claim — such insolence!
