President Akufo-Addo today, June 1, 2021, has launched coach buses to aid domestic tourism. The Ministry of Tourism, Arts And Culture and Ghana Tourism Authority outdoored two City Tour buses, a double-decker bus, a.k.a. (Aunty Deede) and a Mummy Truck a.k.a. (Bone Shaker) today.
The move is in a bid to make domestic tourism attractive to both foreigners and the local people.
President of the women in tourism Ghana and Chief Executive Officer of Staple Travel and Tour, Ambassador Nancy Sam said in an interview with Starr News that these buses are both double-decker and standard coach buses.
”The Buses will take tourist to tour the whole Greater Accra region for free on the first day of the launch, other regions in Ghana will also be toured with the bus coaches on other scheduled dates” Nancy Sam said.
The ambassador urged everyone in Ghana both citizens and other nationals to take part in local tourism.
