Award winning Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has been dropped off the nominees list for this year’s edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
In a press conference organized in Accra today, February 23, the VGMA board revealed that the “kakai” singer doesn’t qualify for any of the nominations.
The board revealed that Shatta doesn’t qualify for this year unless he completes the process of officially apologising for maligning the VGMA board.
It can be recalled that despite the ongoing legal battle between the two – Shatta Wale accompanied by some of his team went ahead to submit his forms for nominations on January 13 2016.
Shatta Wale stated that he submitted the forms because his avid supporters asked him to do so.
“I did a lot of work last year and I submitted them (songs) because of my fans. My fans asked me to submit so that they can attend this year’s VGMAs.”
