Irrespective of his “illegal” source of funding, NAM 1’s vision for Ghana’s entertainment industry was very clear to all. Then the Menzgold saga shook the nation to the core. Core figures who were expected to say “something” remained uncharacteristically quiet and in Peter Drury’s words seemed to be saying to themselves “this was not meant to happen, this could not happen”. But indeed, “it happened” – Menzgold was shut down and Nana Appiah Mensah’s vision, just like Humpty Dumpty, had a great fall!
