Award-winning Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has asked the government of Ghana to reduce the $150 mandatory PCR test for travellers at the Kotoka International Airport.
As per government’s effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in the country, all travellers are expected to take a mandatory PCR test on arrival following the reopening of the airport on September 1.
However, a lot of travellers including the “Everlasting” hitmaker have questioned the amount for the test.
According to Stonebwoy, he doesn’t understand why it is only in Ghana where travelers are expected to take another covid test on arrival after they have already taken tests in their departing countries before getting on board the plane.
He however, pleaded with government to reduce the price of the test to enable Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians in the diaspora who would love to visit home in December but can’t because of the $150 test.
