A Facebook user known as Samuel Ohene has alleged in a post sighted by EOnlineGH.com that some workers of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) refused to fix a burst pipe after the money they demanded from some construction workers who were constructing a gutter at Taifa was not paid.

In a video, Samuel explained that during construction of the gutter, the workers accidentally burst a pipe. After that, these workers called the GWCL.

Upon reaching the site, workers of the GWCL demanded money prior to fixing the burst pipe. However, the construction workers refused to pay the money demanded.

Samuel claimed that the workers of GWCL then went away without attending to the burst pipe and as seen in a video, a lot of water is being lost as a result.

This happened at Taifa, just beside the Church of Pentecost.

Irrespective of the facts surrounding Samuel’s allegations, the GWCL must ensure that they fix the burst pipe.
