These were being whispered amongst people who suspected it but now, it has been broadcasted on the roof top.

There has been a lot of diagnosis on why the Black Stars has been unable to lift a continental trophy since it’s last triumph in 1982.

However, energetic midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso has boldly revealed that politics is amongst the reasons why the Black Stars has been unable to emerge victorious in any of the AFCON’s since its last victory in 1982.

Speaking on Angel TV, Wakaso boldly stated that “when the NDC is in power, NPP doesn’t want them to win and vice versa”.

“I will speak the truth today, do you know our problem about the game? Maybe we know but we don’t want to say it but i think politics ruins the Blacks Stars at times. When NDC is in power, NPP doesn't want us to win and vice versa,” Wakaso told Angel TV. pic.twitter.com/Yys7xBQJZO

This revelation by Mubarak Wakaso isn’t entirely shocking and just shows how low we’ve sank as a country.

At least, if there’s anything we thought was responsible for bringing Ghanaians together, it was definitely our football but now……………..

Our type of politics is filthy; very, very filthy.
