Jon and Josh Horford are the two brothers of Boston Celtics center Al Horford. They are both professional basketball players who have had successful careers in the NBA and overseas.
Jon Horford was born in Grand Ledge, Michigan in 1989. He attended the University of Michigan where he played college basketball for four years. He was a two-time All-Big Ten selection and was named to the All-Big Ten Defensive Team in his senior year. After college, he was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft. He played for the Hawks for two seasons before being traded to the Orlando Magic in 2016. He then played for the Magic for one season before signing with the Detroit Pistons in 2017. He played for the Pistons for two seasons before signing with the G League’s Grand Rapids Drive in 2019.
Josh Horford was born in Grand Ledge, Michigan in 1991. He attended the University of Michigan where he played college basketball for four years. He was a two-time All-Big Ten selection and was named to the All-Big Ten Defensive Team in his senior year. After college, he was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft. He played for the Hawks for two seasons before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2017. He then played for the 76ers for one season before signing with the G League’s Delaware Blue Coats in 2018.
