Jenny Benn is the younger sister of Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn. She is a professional hockey player in her own right, having played for the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) and the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).
Jenny was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and grew up in a hockey-loving family. She and her brother Jamie were both inspired by their father, Randy, who was a professional hockey player in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Jenny and Jamie both followed in their father’s footsteps and pursued hockey as a career.
Jenny began her hockey career playing for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. She was a member of the team for four years, and during that time she was named to the Canada West All-Star Team twice. After graduating from UBC, Jenny joined the CWHL and played for the Calgary Inferno for two seasons. She then moved to the NWHL and played for the Connecticut Whale for two seasons.
Jenny is currently a member of the Dallas Stars organization, where she serves as a development coach. She works with the team’s prospects and helps them develop their skills. She also serves as a mentor to the team’s younger players.
Jenny is also an advocate for women’s hockey. She is a member of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) and is a vocal supporter of the organization’s mission to create a sustainable professional league for women’s hockey.
Jenny is an inspiration to many young female hockey players. She is a role model for those who want to pursue a career in hockey and shows that it is possible to achieve success in the sport. Jenny is a great example of how hard work and dedication can lead to success.
