Kate Ryan is the younger sister of NFL quarterback Matt Ryan. She is a former college basketball player and current coach.
Kate Ryan was born in Exton, Pennsylvania and grew up in the Philadelphia area. She attended Penn Charter High School, where she was a four-year starter on the basketball team. She was a two-time All-Delco selection and was named to the All-Southeastern Pennsylvania team as a senior.

After college, Kate began her coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania. She then moved on to become an assistant coach at the University of Massachusetts. She is currently the head coach of the women’s basketball team at the University of Rhode Island.
