2016 has been quite the eventful year, both locally and internationally. So many stars have passed onto the next world, and for those blessed with the gift of life, the love world is not treating them too kindly.

Before we begin, one separation in the making – TMZ reported Tuesday that one long term marriage about to end is T.I and wife Tiny (Tameka Cottle-Harris). The rapper’s wife of six years has filed for divorce!
Iggy Azalea and Nick Young
Aussie rapper Iggy and basketball star Young were engaged for about a year before breaking up in June when Young was caught on camera bragging about having affairs.
The Weeknd and Bella Hadid
The pair were together for close to 2 years, but broke up just last month. Their breakup statement indicated they could not reconcile their busy schedules.
Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama
Lovato’s long term relationship with the actor turned sour as the pair announced their breakup in June. After six years, they broke up without ever getting married.

Mariah Carey and James Packer entered into a whirlwind romance after Carey finalised her divorce from Cannon, but it wasn’t long before we were hit with another breakup. It all happened in 2016, the engagement, and the subsequent breakup in October.
