Episode has taking a hot swipe at the intricacies in Ghana Dancehall with a refix to Sarkodie’s much talked about “Take It Back” song. Episode calls his version “Take We Back”and on his new joint he throws shades at Stonebwoy for labeling himself an Afro dancehall artiste.
According to Episode it doesn’t make sense to name the Dancehall genre “Afro Dancehall” just because it is made in Africa. He further quizzed – If you are in China and you do Dancehall would that make it “Chin Dancehall”?
The ” Avatar” hit maker suggested that as Africans let’s have a totally different name to describe the Dancehall we do if really we want to own what we churn out from the Dancehall genre.
“Take we back” was released earlier this week and is already trending.
