Ever thought there was no power in re-branding? Well, if the names Bandana and Shatta Wale doesn’t dispel such thoughts then, definitely, Wa All Stars and Legon Cities F.C will! And what a reminder it will be!!

From magnificent player unveiling to a magnificent team bus that’s obviously second to none in the Ghana Premier League, Legon Cities F.C has showed that they aren’t “here to play” or are they?

During the final games of most football competitions, big time musicians are hired to perform in the closing ceremony…….and Legon Cities FC might just have seen the light and are looking forward to tapping into that “annointing”. That’s not to say that the stadium used for the finals of these competitions will not be filled to capacity if these musicians do not grace the occassion with their presence – the presence of these musicians are not an end in itself.

Though on a personal level, i feel that football in itself should be able to attract the needed fans, it’s not really a step in the wrong direction if fans are treated to some rounds of musical interludes before the game commences as a means of bringing back the love, especially when you consider the trauma Ghana’s football has been through in the past year or so!
Legon Cities F.C made a triumphant entry into Dansoman when they played their first ever Premier League match against Liberty Professionals. The convoy of luxurious cars which preceded Legon Cities F.C’s stylish team bus was a sight which left many spell bound.
Majority shareholder of the club, Richard Akem Attipoe has also revealed via Muftawu Nabila that the project of his beloved club is “bigger than all of us combined”.
Let’s not mistaken the delight on the path of Ghanaians to mean that they are celebrating mediocrity! In as much as what’s being put out by Legon Cities FC is supposed to be the norm, hence ought to be nothing new, let’s not lose sight of the fact that “Rome wasn’t built in a day”.
And as they lock horns with the Porcupine Warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Friday December 3rd at 6pm, Legon Cities FC has gone “one step ahead” of all other Premier League clubs as they’ve announced that Shatta Wale will be performing live! So it’s gonna be fun, on and off the pitch!
Imagine the scenes if Legon Cities FC are able to put Kumasi Asante Kotoko to the sword!

Wondering how much it’s gonna cost to watch a live Shatta Wale performance plus a football game? Let’s satisfy your curiosity;

Just like Roman Abramovich tranformed Chelsea FC with his vast wealth, a lot of football fans will be closely monitoring Legon Cities FC…..at least we need to know if Legon Cities FC really means business and won’t become Ghana’s version of Queens Park Rangers!
