Cesc Fabregas has been fingered for ‘liking’ a tweet celebrating Antonio Conte’s imminent departure from Stamford Bridge.
It has been reported that Conte was finally shown the exit door today after Bruce Buck visited the club’s training ground today. Former SSC Napoli boss, Maurizio Sarri is reportedly set to take over the reins from his compatriot at Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2018/10 Premier League campaign.
Willian revealed there was a rift with Conte in the aftermath of Chelsea’s FA Cup win last season on Instagram and now, Fabregas has fired a parting shot at the Italian gaffer.
The Spaniard ‘liked’ a tweet which reads: ‘Yesssssssssss Conte gonnnnnnnnnn’.
Fabregas partly blamed Conte for missing out on selection for Spain’s World Cup squad.
The Spaniard midfield maestro also appeared to criticize Conte’s defensive tactics following Chelsea’s Champions League exit to Barcelona back in February.
After the 1-1draw with Barcelona at Stamford Bridge, he said “To spend 90minutes there defending can be a long 90minutes. It can be an eternity. You have to attack. We have to feel we can hurt them. Defending for 90minutes is a suicide mission. We have to have personality and play our game”.
One would have expected Fabregas to act in a more professional manner but……..when is a football manager going to last for at least 3 seasons in Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea?
