Sarkodie made history a week ago when he became the first artiste to be crowned the Best International Flow Act at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.
The rapper’s latest achievement was lauded extensively on social media as fellow musicians and music-loving fans expressed their delights at his efforts.
However, Shatta Wale remained mute as though nothing had happened.
During an interview with Paul Adom-Octchere on Good Evening Ghana show Shatta Wale explained why he hasn’t congratulated and won’t congratulate Sarkodie.
The reason? Shatta Wale explained that he will not become richer if he congratulates Sarkodie and hence finds the gesture totally unnecessary.
He further stated that his general focus is on making money.
“I don’t think it’s necessary…yes award is award, I don’t see award like something that will get me money into my account…I don’t see it like it’s important,” he said on the show.
