Award-winning Hollywood actor and director, Denzel Washington, famed for his acting prowess and extreme believe in hard work has been able to sustain his marriage for 35 good years.
For the past 35 years, Denzel Washington and his wife, Pauletta Washington’s marriage has been the toast of Hollywood as it has served as Hollywood’s longest lasting marriage. It has also been touted as one the most successful marriages in the black community.
Denel and Pauletta met in 1977 when Denzel was filming his first TV role in Wilma and the rest……is history. They got married in June 1983 and have four children; John David, Katia and twins, Olivia and Malcom together.
In sharing the secret to his prolonged marriage, Denzel said “I just think that you have to work at it. Not give up on each other. It’s a commitment.”
Denzel also concluded by revealing one of his greatest marriage secrets – “I do what I am told and keep my mouth shut”.
