EXCLUSIVE: Chief Of Kweiman And 3 Of His Subordinates Jailed For Contempt Of Court Over Supreme Court Ruling

The Chief of Kweiman, Nii Amartey Kwei II, and three others have been thrown into Nsawam prison to go and serve the State breaching an order of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

Nii Amartey Kwei II, has been battling with one Fred Adjei Brown over a parcel of land for the past years. Lawyer for Fred Adjei Brown, G.H. Quist, filed a motion of contempt at the land Court 7 against the Chief of Kweiman and three others for contempt at a Supreme Court ruling – for destroying some properties on a piece of land which was sold by Kpobi We family to Mr. Fred Adjei Brown.

After series of adjournments at the land Court 7, Nii Amartey Kwei II and three others whose names Presspeep.com reporter gathered as: Daniel Okoe Tetteh, Annang Prosper, and Martin Ediagbe (Nigerian), were cited by the court to have breached a ruling of the Supreme Court – which allows Mr. Fred Adjei Brown, exclusive right over the land and thus, restrained any person from further trespassing or encroaching on the land.

The court threw all four accused into prison to go and serve the State for 5 days for exhibiting total gross disrespect against the highest court of the land. In an exclusive interview with Presspeep.com, belated Mr. Brown said, “I thank God I have gotten my land back legally. Justice has prevailed.”
