Late Ebony’s father, Mr Opoku Kwarteng has hinted of his plans of starting of a new record label in honor of his late daughter.
KwartengBony records, will be in memory of his late daughter who passed on in a tragic accident last year.
Starboy Kwarteng as he is fondly known made this revelation to Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda, Tuesday morning.
KwartengBony is a combination of two names; Kwarteng which is their surname, and Ebony. Mr. Kwarteng also added that it was the wish of Ebony Reigns to help people, and as a result, he might sign artistes unto the record.
“All these things i will do not because of monetary gains. I want to mortalise the queens. Her legacy must live on, like Martin Luther King”, he added. Mr. Kwarteng also hinted that he might begin an Ebony Reigns Memorial Foundation in honour of the late dancehall artiste. He also intends adopting a ward at the accident unit at the KorleBu Teaching Hospital in honour of the late artiste.
Mr. Kwarteng also revealed that sometimes it’s a good feeling to listen to Ebony’s songs. At other times, it’s a bad feeling. “The pain shall never wipe. The memory shall forever remain. But we live to live”, he added. Mr. Kwarteng finally revealed that his favourite Ebony Reigns song is ‘Sponsor’
