Ghana put up a relatively flat performance as they drew 0-0 with Cameroon. Generally, the build-up play was slow, the intensity was also low – Ghana seemed content with a draw and as a result, didn’t want to take a lot of risks.
Kwadwo Asamoah didn’t have a good game largely due to the position he occupied on the field of play and was subsequently substituted. Thomas Partey was also disappointing as he failed to stamp his authority in the midfield. Mubarak Wakaso had a fair game but he will have to work on his set piece delivery and shooting technique. Dede Ayew was largely anonymous. Jordan Ayew gave a decent account of himself. Samuel Owusu didn’t flatter to deceive. Defenders; Kassim Nuhu, Jonathan Mensah, Baba Rahman and Andy Yiadom were up to the task. Richard Ofori came up with the match winning save – he reacted very quickly to Bassagog’s point blank shot.
It was the introduction of Kwabena Owusu late in the game which gave Ghana a little bit of attacking impetus.
Here are how some Ghanaian celebrities reacted at the end of the game:

I really think that this was one of the best performances especially against the defending champions. Great defense from Jonathan mensah. Wish they would’ve played Asamoah Gyan earlier. When they play bad we talk but when they do good we should also commend them.

Benin should lose their last 2 matches so they have 2 points. Cameroon should also at least draw or lose their last match so they have at most 4 or 5. Then Ghana should win their last match so we have 5 points so we qualify. 2 +2-2+43*2%+5=cos90
