Everything Drake touches is destined for retweets and Vines and the fact that these bits of social media ennui are still so entertaining is a testament to the spellbinding nature of the rapper’s music. “Hotline Bling,” the track that will most likely be Drake’s first number one single, premiered alongside a Meek Mill diss to relatively little fanfare and still, a few months and a collaborative mixtape later, we’ve all found ourselves inexplicably addicted to it. The song has now been remixed by everyone from Erykah Badu to Iman Shumpert (yes, really). And with tonight’s release of the official music video, social media has again proven that Drake is the king of memes. (He even commented back on a few posts on Instagram and posted one on his own account.)
