I Told You Anas Was Coming – Sarkodie Tells Judges

Ghana’s fastest rapper and BET award winner has emphasized that his songs are not political. Speaking in an exclusive interview, the multi-talented award winner stated that he does songs whenever something happens and puts him in the mood

“I think it has been part of me ever since I started, if you listen to my mixtapes it’s about where I am at the point. This is not political if you listen to the songs, that’s why people can relate… It’s really bad and I don’t know if I should be ashamed of it, if you ask me the names of certain Ministers I don’t know them…”.

The Ghanaian born rapper also revealed that music was a therapy to him in the beginning. He also revealed that the monetary aspect came in when he turned his music into a profession with the help of Dr Duncan.

Touching on how his lyrics in his song “pizza n burger” coincides with investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas current expose on high court judges, the rapper said

“I think it was predictable…but maybe I went directly to where it is now…I saw that coming cos I didn’t see him stopping…I was just rapping based on what I thought he would do” he said.
