Manager of Akuapem Poloo, Divine Jones, has revealed that lawyers of the jailed actress will be filing an appeal on Wednesday April 21.
He told TV3’s Joseph Armstrong in an interview on Monday April 19 that “This morning I managed to get the judgment of the Circuit court and we quickly studied it . As you can see I have just filed the notice of appeal. Immediately after 15 minutes we filed motion on notice pending appeal which has been slated for Wednesday.”
Socialite Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo received a 90-day prison sentence after being found guilty of stripping naked in front of her seven-year-old son.
The judgement was given on Friday, April 16 by an Accra Circuit Court. The sentenced attracted widespread criticism on social media with scores saying it was harsh.
