Yvonne Nelson has responded to pressures by some of her fans and a section of Ghanaians to get married. The actress reiterated that marriage has never been an achievement for her but rather having kids, education, and happiness were her ultimate goals in life.
In a response to a fan who quizzed her on why she’s still single at her age, the award-winning actress pointed out the fact that having finding real love was her goal and not just marriage — and as such she will not succumb to public pressure but rather take her time.
The fan wrote:
“Yvonnenelson won’t you marry you are getting old is this how being famous bring????????,”
However, responding to the comment, Yvonne stated that being married was not her goal, finding real love is.
“marriage like i always say isn’t an achievement for me. Real love, kids, an education and happiness are! You cant tell me how to live my life.”
“The SOCIETY you wanna please so much will kill you oneday. No one cares about you anyways. I’ll LIVE the way i want it. I can do the so called marriage when it feels RIGHT TO ME.”
