As 2019 gradually comes to a halt, Chelsea fans were tasked to vote for players into their ‘Team Of The Decade’.
And voila! The Ex-Ghanaian midfielder nicknamed ‘The Bison’, Micheal Essien and Ex-Ivorian striker, Didier Drogba were voted in by the fans via The 5th Stand, Chelsea’s official App into Chelsea’s team of the decade.
During his playing days, Essien treated Chelsea fans to stunning energetic and intelligent diplays on the field as well providing maximum entertainment unbelievable long range strikes such as goals against Arsenal F.C and F.C barcelona.
Didier Drogba also played a major role in ensuring that Chelsea ended their long wait for the Champions League trophy in 2012 after the Blues defeated Bayern Munich on penalties.
