On 12th April 2018, actress and social media personality, Moesha Budoung caused a stir on social media when she was interviewed by CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.

In the interview, Moesha made it clear that due to Ghana’s hard economy, women including herself depended on married men for survival.

Her “revelation” reveived a a lot of backlash from Ghanaians and was viewed as an insult to several hardworking Ghanaian women.

Fast forward to 2019, Moesha Boduong has made a stunning U-turn on her comments made just over a year ago.

She declared that she is an idependent woman who doesn’t need any “married” man’s financial support.

In a recent interview, the outspoken actress revealed that she pays for all of her expenditures including her recent trip to attend the BET awards.

Moesha revealed that it was irrational to think that her trip was financed by any man.

She further revealed that she has several investments which pays her bills.

She said;

“It is interesting that anyone would think that. I did not go on any man’s ticket, I was invited and I went. I think it is a high time people started saying other things than this. We may not be out there with our business but some of us are working, really working behind the scenes”.

She then proceeded to flaunt some of her ‘self acquired properties’
