The 2019 edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2019) marks the 20th anniversary of the awards ceremony since its inception.
The 2019 edition of the Ghana Music Awards came off at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, May 18.
The show was hosted by award winning presenter Berla Mundi alongside Kwame Sefa Kayi with DJ Black.
This year’s edition also introduces the artiste of the decade category, which awards the artiste who has had the biggest impact on the music scene in the last decade.
The nominees includes Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Samini; Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, Efya, Becca, Okyeame Kwame, R2Bees and Nacee and No Tribe.
Sarkodie won artiste of the decade at 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The previous decade and first ever award for this category was won by Kojo Antwi.
