Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale may be winning a Grammy Award sooner than you think.

Shatta Wale, The Truth teller?

The award winning musician and producer was featured on Beyonce’s upcoming album ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ Album.

Beyonce’s works are almost always nominated for the Grammy’s and if this album happens to be nominated and possibly win that category, then Shatta Wale also wins a Grammy by virtue of co-writing a song on the album. Shatta Wale collaborated with Beyoncé on “Already”, off her upcoming album.

The Lion King: The Gift, which was curated and produced by Beyonce will feature new songs inspired by the film. The album features global recording artists and steeped in the sounds of Africa, performed by multiple artists.

The album which also features a number of African artists including Tekno, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Wizkid and Mr. Eazi.will be released July 19.

The date for the 62nd GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, January 26, 2020.
