We were all beginning to wonder why Shatta Wale had gone ‘quiet’ but little did we know that something huge was about to happen which was “eventuarry” meant to get all of us talking.

And yes, it wasn’t about going uninvitedly to ‘congragulate’ a then rival for winning an award neither was it about picking fights with event organizers……..it was about something bigger and better.

Yesterday, Ghana’s music industry was literally turned ‘upside down’ when Shatta Wale got featured by none other than Beyonce on The Lion King: The Gift’ Album…..the rest, they say is history.

Shatta Wale has dedicated that feat to President Akuffo Addo.

There was also a subtext calling on the President to “do more” since according to the now “sober” Dancehall King, “krom ayeshi” which literally means “town make hot” but contextually means……

I dedicate this honour to his excellency @NAkufoAddo even though krom ayeshi..
