After Ghana’s abysmal performance in last year’s African Cup of Nations and the subsequent expiration of contract of Head coach, Kwesi Appiah, a lot of Ghanaians were demanding that Kwesi Appiah be axed from the team. However, the then Normalisation Committee which has headed by Dr. Kofi Amoah “allowed” Kwesi Appiah to stay on.

Ghana’s football got normalized and Kurt Okraku was chosen to lead Ghana’s Football Association.

Just like it happens in a blockbuster movie, the country’s football governing body has kicked out not just the 59-year-old coach, but ALL other technical staff of every national team.

Read the full statement issued on Thursday, 2nd January, 2020 below:

The Ghana Football Association  (GFA) has dissolved the technical teams of all national teams with immediate effect.

The decision affects both male and female national teams.

The GFA extends its appreciation to all coaches and members of the respective national teams for their contributions to our teams and Ghana football.

We wish them all the best in their endeavors.
