Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage has not only condemned the xenophobic attacks which were perpetuated by some South Africans but has also gone ahead to make a huge statement.
Savage has cancelled her upcoming performance in South Africa which was slated for the 21st of September.
Via a tweet, she made it clear that she will not perform at the DSTV delicious festival due to the attacks other Africans were being subjected to in South Africa.
She described the attacks as “barbaric” and extended her prayers to all the victims and families affected by the xenophobic attacks.
I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.
