Celebrated actress Juliet Ibrahim has called for the arrest of a twitter user who threatened to rape her — in a joke gone wrong.
The actress on Saturday morning made a post on her twitter page expressing how she felt about comments on previous posts she had made with regards to rape.
She wrote
Wow! Reading some comments and it’s clear that we have so many monsters walking this earth. One day one day!!! #MeToo #EndRape #SayNoToRape #NoMeansNo

She however got a shock of her life when a twitter user with the handle, richie_richie @richier71342242,commented that he will rape her any day.
He wrote
Posting his picture, the actress who felt threatened by the comment called on the Ghana Police Service to arrest the guy.
She wrote
This twitter user has just threatened to rape me according to his tweet on my twitter handle today! Pls retweet until the law takes its course against such rapists in society! He must be arrested!
@GhPoliceService@richier71342242 that’s his image thanks
The Ghana Police Service are yet to respond to the post.
However, the user hasn’t apologized or deleted his comment at the time of writing this story.
The actress has been on a social media campaign against rape, encouraging victims of rape and sexual assault to speak up. According to her, it’s not easy to keep such a secret for many years and therefore has much respect for those who are also bold enough to speak out and inspire others with their stories.
It’s never too late to tell your story. @timidakolo thanks for being her support and loving her as you do. God bless #atoasttolife #istandwithyou #istandforjustice #SayNoToRape #istandwithBukolaDakolo #EndRape
