Nominees are currently being announced for this year’s edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which comes off April 8th at the Accra International Conference centre. Contestants will face off in various categories including the coveted Artist of the Year Award. Rapper EL ( born Elom Adabla) is current holder of that laurel.
For the category of Afro-pop Song of the Year, Has EL’ Kaabuame battling it out with Medikal and Sister Derbbie’s Too Risky, Dance for me by Eugy and Mr. Eazi, Article Wan’s Solo, Grind from Vision Dj and A.I, Too late by Adina and Joey B’s U x Me.
New categories as Political Song of the Year, Mixtape of the Year, and DJ of the Year have all been added this year, and as is characteristic of recent years, some categories have either been added, renamed, or rested.
