Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Mahama has reacted to news of Samini and Sarkodie endorsing President Akufo-Addo.
According to the former President, the politics in Ghana is different and he has realised that once a musician or an actor endorses a candidate, automatically, supporters of the other party stops following or purchasing their music or movies.
For this reason, the former President says he has discouraged the involvement of celebrities in his campaign this year.
“In this particular campaign, I’ve tried as much as possible getting celebrities involved in our campaign because it leads to a destruction of their careers,. I don’t have any anger towards Sarkodie and Samini for endorsing Nana Addo. They are young talented musicians and my attitude towards them doesn’t change.”, he said in an interview on Starr FM
