Samuel Okyere is a Ghanaian television personality active in South Korea and Ghana. He was accepted to the Korean Government Scholarship Program in 2009 and moved to Korea for his studies. He was a cast member in the JTBC talk show Non-Summit.
eOnlineGhana.Com chanced on this interview where Sam talked about his struggles as a black man living in a foreign country — how he faces racism everyday, how he shot to the limelight through a Korean TV show and many more interesting revelations.
This year, he was listed in Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list — he is indeed making Ghana proud.
I was actually surprised at the way he speaks Korean so perfectly and his love for the Korean Culture — and that is one of the reasons why the people are gradually accepting him as one of their own.
