American comedian and TV host Broderick Stephen Harvey popularly known as Steve Harvey has arrived in Ghana to take part in Ghana’s 2019 “Year of Return” for Africans in the diaspora.
The Year of Return, Ghana 2019 is a major landmark marketing campaign targeting the African – American and Diaspora Market to mark 400 years of the first enslaved African arriving in Jamestown Virginia.
The renowned actor arrived in the country yesterday and was welcomed by the sector minister, Barbara Gyasi at the airport.
Steve Harvey is not the first Hollywood celebrity to have visited Ghana this year as we celebrate 400 years since the first African slave was taken from the coast of Ghana, (then known as Gold Coast) to the Americas.
Celebrities including actor Michael Jai White, Boris Kodjoe, Anthony Anderson and Idris Elba have all visited Ghana this year to take part in the Year of Return celebration.
