Zimbabwe’s Ex-President, Robert Mugabe has passed on at the age of 95 in Singapore.

The family of the Ex-President confirmed he had been hospitalized in Singapore since April this year.

The death of Ex-President Mugabe was announced on the twitter handle of current president, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

President Mnangagwa also paid a glowing tribute to the late Zimbabwean leader.

The late Robert Mugabe won Zimbabwe’s first election after independence, becoming prime minister in 1980. He later abolished the office in 1987, becoming president instead. This made him Zimbabwe’s first post-independence president.
He ruled Zimbabwe from 1980 till 2017 when the military forced him to step down as president.
